I had a word with my local sangoma and checked my horoscope and stars and they said that on the 9th of the 9th that number 9 is the horses to follow today

They might be talking Bah

I was Spellbound with the Lava Flow and hope I am not a Bad Boy Buddy Boy

That's my Yankee for the 9th

Good punting!

I will be running around to day so won't be able to check out your predictions and wins today. Sure the clan will fill their buckets today

My play is Yankee

Yankee (4 Legs) Repeat bet

Yankee disclaimer

Leg 1

HORSE RACING > VAAL
Race 9
09-Sep-2014 17:25
LAST BATTLE 9/2 Fixed Win

Leg 2

HORSE RACING > VAAL
Race 7
09-Sep-2014 16:15
MILYNNE 62/10 Fixed Win

Leg 3

HORSE RACING > VAAL
Race 5
09-Sep-2014 14:59
BAH 71/10 Fixed Win

Leg 4

HORSE RACING > VAAL
Race 1
09-Sep-2014 12:40
SPELLBOUND 17/10 Fixed Win

Also using the 3 as bankers in the PA and adding 5 in each of the other 3 races

Sadly, my best bet of the day is the same as Madame Julie's so I am not overly excited. Dom Zaki did say he expected Last Battle to win, which does give me a little hope. So BANKER in the last leg of P6

Have fun all

I like Lava Flow and Symbolik strongly to win.

r5:Have a marginal preference for Bah in the 5th but will back him up with all of 1,2,5, and 10

R6: I like the chances & price of Luala (EW)

R7: Will have a few on Gentle Desire (again ew)

r9: will load up but if forced to choose will take ew chance on the Professor

Happy punting

Apologies, even more waffle than usual but found it a tricky card, imo nowhere near as "obvious" as some seem to be thinking but who knows...

R1 Spellbound produced a good debut performance despite reporting lame and put in a decent effort on the sand when returning from 29 weeks off. Only one that appeals with experience and likely that it will take a fairly decent newcomer to beat her. Is there one? Don't ask me, wait until 30 seconds before the off to be told and listen to the presenters thank everyone for their open and honest assessments. Not a lot of good to anyone then though are they? Let me know when TT gets a brain implant. Total guess but of the newcomers I would throw in Muskogee and Icy Breeze but (JJV runners, Alexander, Tarry etc etc) really, I haven't the feintest idea! SPELLBOUND x MUSKOGEE x ICY BREEZE

R2 Lava Flow made a pleasing debut and the one to beat for me. Devious Tiger hasn't entirely convinced me but the blinkers go on and remains to be seen if that make the necessary difference. Viking Castle possibly worth a small e/w also with the blinkers on. Finchatton with Striker up for Tarry can't be overlooked and Elusive Flyer would not have to be special to be thereabouts given the overall field. I am pretty sure Lundy's Liability was scratched previously, if correct then I can't remember what it was that me think he had a chance that day, bugging me lol... LAVA FLOW x FINCHATTON x VIKING CASTLE

R3 Sailabrate was not particularly well drawn when debuting over 1200 at Turf but was nevertheless heavily supported, disappointed. Penstock goes from a WR to Khumalo, was a running on 2nd here over 1200 on debut. Unbroken gets the blinkers and might appreciate a straight course. Cockade made a decent enough debut on the sand. Pack Ice is on 3rd run after a rest, a fair effort at Bingo lto. Those 5 probably look strongest of those with experience but the truth is none of them appear to have taken on more than moderate fields at best. None of the debutants will have to be special to win so it might be worth chancing that Dakiwe has a 1/10th of the ability of his brother Pierre Jourdan, Lerena up. DAKIWE x SAILABRITE x COCKADE

R4 A little complex. Captain Ellio was backed from 16s to 9/2 on debut but suffered a nosebleed and has been off 13 weeks since. Took on winner's that day though so the betting support might be significant. Forest Fox made his debut on the sand and although he was well beaten, following a tardy start, the booking of Lerena that day and the betting support from 5s into 16/10 would imply the stable think he is better than that. La Tasca was supported from 8s to 3s but disappointed, did so again 2nd time out when drifting in the market. Has been rested 23 weeks since and again possible the stable thinks more of him than has been seen to date. Fabrizio took on some decent types in his two runs so the face value size of defeats are a little misleading, has been rested 23 weeks and gelded since. Forest View seemed to improve on his return from a 10 week rest and gelding and though the form of that race does not look strong watch for the Sailabrate run in R3 as they were closely matched lto. Silver State was a long way behind Fabrzio when both made their debuts but probably fair to say the former has improved significantly since. He was a 5.25l 3rd lto, just in front of King Of Cloth (Striker retains the ride) and the winner and second both won nto. The improver from that race though could be Noble Virtue who was 1.2l further back but was on debut and lost ground at the start. Forest Fox's stablemate Manzai ould be a hidden danger, the stable has had a few big priced winners recently as they came back to form and this one showed much more ability in some of her early runs than he has shown recently. He has had another 10 week rest and if he shows some of the stable improvement then not to be discounted, he might be worth a nibble at big odds. Sonny Bill made a decent debut but two poor runs and a 40 week rest since make him no more than a watching brief for me. Respected duo Zaki/Lerena team up with debutant Bad Boy Buddy Boy who has been installed as favourite, just to make it all a little easier! Pin. CAPTAIN ELLIO x FABRIZIO x MANZAI

R5 A few here who have good records on the course and have been in good form recently. Others in with a chance but I think this could be between Eurkilon (2/2 on c), Captain Aldo (2 silvers in 2 c/d runs) and Indian Giant (5-2-1 in 13 c runs). I marginally prefer the latter two and though slightly worse off than when beating CA lto, I think at the prices I'll go with IG to follow up.

R6 Pearlware respected but comes off a 16 week rest and possible she may need it, steel shoes on. Bezalady. Kissimee and Raging Princess are all recent maiden winners and watching briefs for me. But, any could win. Go Dutch is frequently thereabouts and comes here in good heart after a decent win on the sand. Likely to be in the vicinity again and I would be strong on her chances but, though the appie gives her a light weight, I would feel more confident with a more experienced jockey up. Although she should comfortably reverse the form of April's narrow defeat to Yourmyeverything, the latter has Marwing up and the stable seems to be going well at the moment so I'll take a chance and go with YME to confirm the form. The one I am going to chance though is Luala whose recent form is possibly better than the results reflect. Her c record is good although she did go through a very poor patch but if she is coming back to something like her best then she has a decent chance imo. Part of my reason for liking her is that Gunter is up and he has moved from stablemate Icelandic Fire to ride her. IF is imo also not without hope. Lto was over 1200 on the sand when very poorly drawn. She has yet to go this d but, prior to that sand run, she was finishing well over 1400 here under Gunter. She has found market support in her last two turf runs. She also a good c record and indeed all her top 3s have come here. LUALA x YOURMYEVERYTHING x ICELANDIC FIRE (Go Dutch not left out of anything though)

R7 onwards too open to write more with a lousy internet connection but...

R7 Gentle Desire x Classy Looker x Apple tart

R8 Foyle x One Man's Dream x Cohiba

R9 Bold Flash (needs form return but stable been strong recently) x Jolly Good Sir (c form) x Last Battle (The Professor, Saint Claire and even Royal Stock should not be overlooked imo, favs could win it but plenty lurking imo)

I know there are some scratchings there, just can't be bothered editing :)

Be(s)t of luck to all
