guys most of us lived through the golden era of racing where we wouldn't miss a meeting but today its an effort to go to the track as with racing on tv plus all the other live sports and your accounts up on the laptop who needs it..in those days you would meet all your mates at the track and there was an incredible buzz and atmosphere whereas today its like somebody has died..i live 3km from the track and I race mostly from home besides the odd midweek meeting

You guys still have to suffer the betting slump like we have in the UK
When the 40 something's stop punting there will be nae one left
Because the youngsters are not into racing !

The 'it's a rush' people seem to have 'rushed' off somewhere else. The Twitter account has a total of 7 tweets since 8th August and nothing since 26th.

Attendance was poor. However, we were pretty full indoors. Outside was very cold.
Overall though, I agree with Pirates. There's not much to go to on race days anymore. The electronic age has taken over.
As for the course, it's so draw dependant around the turn now, that it's better to scratch than to run from a bad draw. Unless , of course, you need to drop your rating......

betting coups are killing racing quicker than anything else. with so many results that don't make sense horse racing can hardly be called a game of skill or sport.......... and now we want to get the whole family involved, ya right.....
