Bad Experience

Mango is officially the worst airline in South Africa.

Had a flight at 5:50 this morning and arrived to book in at 5:30 and was refused to board.

Manager says that I need needed to board 30 mins before take off .

I know this is a rule but I had no luggage and with other airlines was allowed to board 15 mins before takeoff on numerous occasions . Staff just looked at me and shaked head left and right with a sympatethic look on their face. DUMB AS BRICKS.

The boarding gate closed at 6:00 . I was their at 5:30 .

WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM ?

First and last time I fly with Mango.

El, been flying Kulula for a couple of years now.
Best for me.

Kulula was R1700 return trip and Mango was R1211.00 Return trip.

Always flew Kulula and never had a problem. Silly mistake on my end.

Down 5 cups of coffee , next flight out 10:30 so another 5 cups to go.

Missed one meeting and need to fly out again on Thursday and Friday I am flying to India for 10 days.

I tell yo one thing never again Cuckoo never again.

flown mango twice and they were superb ,plane took o ff on time and landed on time...i got zero time for people who think 5.30 is the same as 5.20...why shoud the rest of the passengers have to wait for late comers

Mango ok if you under 5ft10. Legroom very poor. Kulula been experiencing big delays recently, don't know about others. Have to say though, love the price wars betw the budget airlines, as long as they service those dang motors and make sure they actually stay on the wing for the duration of the flight.

El the reason a much cheaper price is they have very quick turnaround times = more flights per day = cheaper.

That's why they get so up-tight - eactly the same here with Ryanair, only they now say 40mins b4 flight time! So if you get there 30-35 b4, they usually let you on with a bit of arm-twisting - lol!

But El 20mins - that's pushing your luck mate. And as Pirates says everyone else is held up, notwithstanding the plane might miss it's slot = potential big delay.

I find that lotsa people take it that been late is "the done thing".

I respect punctuality. I hate it to wait for people, I don't do business with people coming late for an appointment. Therefor I think I'LL fly Mango next time out.

Got back a little while back.

Hows this Pirates , people were still boarding when I arrived. Plane took off 5 mins late.

This afternoon flight was delayed for 10 mins from Durban to Jhb because MANGO was waiting for a passenger. WONDER WHO THE PASSENGER WAS !!!!! Sat right at the back so could not see.

You right Bravo they could have made a plan. They will get a letter from me.
