"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Monday 7th April Workings...

Afternoon.
This afternoon completed, and went as follows.......
The 1st runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.44 on arrival, and then dropping down to us a slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.32 max. The price then drifted back out to our own price of 2.62 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten, so a good result..........
The 2nd runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 2.04 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The lay went and won, so a good leave......
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.32, and with drifting to around 2.38 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 2.32. The lay was beaten and so a good result..........
The 4th runner we wanted 1.06, and with being around 1.1 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was amazingly beaten, so a big shock there and 'one that got away in hindsight'.........
The 5th runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 1.9 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 1.8 max. The lay was beaten after a battle, so a good result.......
The 6th runner we wanted 3.1, but a non runner and 5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.0. The price had drifted to around 4.4 on arrival, just got bigger and never came back down to us, so race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though......
The 7th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 2.92 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......
The 8th runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 1.72 on arrival, we had a lay at around 1.72. The lay was beaten, so a good result......
The 9th runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 4.0 on arrival, just getting bigger, and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift justified, and 'one that got away in hindsight'......
The 10th runner we wanted 3.1, and with drifting to around 3.25 on arrival and then dropping back down to us, we had a lay at 3.1. The price then drifted back out again, and out to our own price of 3.4 and slightly beyond, then tumbled back down again - so a fluctuating market and a chance for traders (builders finished now) to have a 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade looked in trouble, but came back to win, so the way it goes, but only traders playing and they obviously got away with it with the free lay, so no damage done...
The 11th runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 5.6% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.17 (3.15 nearest exchange price). The price was 3.15 on arrival and so we had a lay at 3.15. The lay went and won a very close finish, so the way it goes........
The 12th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 3.25 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten, so the drift more than justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 13th runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 1.86 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.8 max. The lay battled to a win, so the way it goes, but traders the only ones playing now and they easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
WELL PLAYED..............(5 from the 13 (38%) went and won, so rollers especially played a blinder to his 3 targets)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 3 targets...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner)............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 5th runner, and hit on this runner with getting 1.8!...............Then they started their 3rd strategy/target on the 7th runner, and hit on this runner too, at 1.72...............That's where they had to end it with running out of enough potential lays left to start another, so they win 3 targets on the session....
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit..........They then had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.32, and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets............Then came their 2nd lay (the 5th runner) at 1.8, and a good result see them hit their targets.....

Traders had to concede a little on the 11th runner at 3.15, but all others see them win a bit, or break level, so all in all they won a little bit and that will suffice...
So it was a tough looking day that went much better than expected, and that's what we like! Builders hit without any fuss, and rollers rolled their way to a 3 target win, so a nice days work and well played guys. Have a good evening and speak in the morning...
Marc.

That's what we have to work on for this afternoon then. Another tough looking day with too many races lacking any strength in depth, but we 'just' about have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. *Builders* have to go in with a warning, so have a good think guys before committing yourselves, but rollers will certainly have a go, so discipline to the maximum, and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon...
