The assumption is the 4/10 favourite can't get beat, the Crawford first timer has come in for support, not that it takes too much money to shift a first timer, and the assumption on this one is it could be one of his better newbies? Unless you have stable information on how good or average it is, you guessing, however one cannot rule out it's chances. Then there is the Marshall horse who was punted on both occassions returning from a rest - who's to say this one hasn't strengthened up? Over and above these three, that's assuming there are no spooks in the race.

The point i'm trying to make, no matter which horse you back in this race, you certainly cannot be bullish because if your fancy gets rolled, you can't be surprised, especially the way the betting is structured.

I will watch, there are better betting opportunities elsewhere on the card.

This card isn't any easier than the Turffontein card, I agree with Colours and Rebel House in R2. From a decent draw and racing 200m less than he's last race, RH could keep rolling.

R4, Exotic Jet, at 6/1 is the value in the race. I feel the favourite, Hope Downs (2/1) is a bit too short for a three year old going beyond the 1200m for the first time. Whilst her breeding would suggest she should get the distance, I'm prepared to back against her not winning tomorrow.

R5) Friendly Tibbs, last two runs have been in feature company. If he repeats the run to Power King, he will go very close to winning this.

R7) Lobola, I make this the horse to beat. Races fairly handy, so from a good draw, I'm hoping the jockey won't let the appies get too far ahead when turning for home. Is dropping in class.

Play well.

I wish I was kidding and you eye sight is correct.... Not to wish bad upon anyone but imagine how you would feel spending that much on a horse and it ends up being a battling maiden....
