Shergar Cup - Preview & Profiles
10 years 10 months ago - 10 years 10 months ago
This week the world’s premier jockeys’ competition, the 2014 SHERGAR CUP will be staged at Ascot in the United Kingdom. This prestigious event will for the first time be sponsored by Dubai Duty Free and the six-race meeting is scheduled to take place on Saturday 9 August. After a year on the sidelines, South Africa will have a representative in this year’s contest. The history-making recent National Champion Jockey S’MANGA KHUMALO has been called up to represent the Rest of the World team. The ever-smiling, yet determined champion Khumalo will represent the team that features a Japanese legend and a popular Australian. He makes his debut in this tournament and will compete against the game’s greats such as Richard Hughes, Frankie Dettori as well as UK’s history making female jockette, Hayley Turner.

So why has this jockey you all refer to as Superman not been selected for the rest of the world team?

Looking forward to this
Chicken what's your problem with Anton?
He is a world class jock who could hold his own anywhere on the planet as many of the top SA jocks.

Flyfirstclass and The Good's Picador were never more impressive then when Moreira and Hughes won on them
Incidentally only Marcus on Mister Muscle bettered the winning margin by any of The Good's winners
Also FFC's win was the easiest of any of Craig's
