After you sir... ;)

Harris, not sure the vast majority of clanners appreciate how many excellent posters, who have done pretty much what you ask, have been lost to these threads because they often think to themselves... "why do I bother?" Not that they post for praise or thanks but the occasional acknowledgement for their efforts would no doubt do no harm and bolster their "enthusiasm" to keep doing it.

For Colors and Harris ;)

R1 A definitely fit and ready to run Crown Bearer would get the vote but, although she has run well fresh before, a 42 week absence has to raise some questions. There has not been much between Latino Ice and Ballerini (now scratched) in their two sand meetings but the latter has come out the better in both and though LT must have a chance back under Striker, she has had 19 previous chances. Bella Rina is held by LT on the turf but there is a possible positive indicator in the breeding to suggest she could improve on this surface. Lizzie's Legs has competed in some decent fields on the turf and again there is a possible positive indicator in the breeding to suggest she could take to the surface, representing the strong combo of Zaki/Lerena she must be considered. The inform Spies yard sends out debutant Wolverina and on breeding there is a fair chance she will also enjoy the sand. Elegant Filly is another likely to do so while, although there is a positive breeding indicator, the jockey of Foretoken has not placed in his last 25 runs for the trainer. Plenty possibles should Crown bearer need the run but i'll side with the newcomers to the surface... WOLVERINA x ELEGANT FILLY x LIZZIE LEGS

I like Rheims as won his only start over this trip and has only been given 3 points for that; also Spring Blaster in the last after very good recent runs behind Secret Magok and Trip Tease in a Pinnacle - both have won again since, so I make SP hard to beat today

Enjoy :)

I think the right one in the third is Spiaggia.Khumalo rode Run For Revelry in her two subsequent starts and im sure they phoned. This is her third run after a three month break and she might streak away from them

Think that's a fair comment Bob and can possibly be applied to a few races today... I think Frodo has perhaps mentioned the two shorter priced ones who have the least questions about them. Will also be doing that double. Some of the other favs today have a question or two to answer for me and at the prices don't represent value imo but, at the same time, as you say, it is also perhaps dangerous to back against them.

With you 100% on Spring Blaster. I think this is the best bet on the card

Yet another example of a claimed horse being scratched......Wolverina is now out of Race 1

My plays for today:
R1 Latino ice e/w
R3 Daggons Hall e/w showed promise in pe, I think is ideally distance suited, breeding suggests could take to the sand.

R8 Spring Blaster best bet on the card.

I am with you on Daggonss Hall, Colin

PE horses have in recent years shown good form when making the unusual move up north. I doubt however if she will beat Spaggia. So swingers and boxed exacta with these for me. Gonna only put these 2 in my p6

For the rest, I'm going to give Breathless another chance after last week's disappointment.

Keagan's Jet has a big mass to carry, but I believe he will definitely finish ahead of the stable companion. These 2 with Aces High and Dual Alliance in the p6

I am not leaving Campbell Black out of anything. Sure the horse must be confused as to why he is running. So many different distances and courses. But a trainer who can never be left out on the sand

Have fun everyone
