What coolmore says about their runners in Ireland
Irish Derby Day today runners.
3.10 - EBF Maiden - 6f
Cape Clear Island (Fastnet Rock x Kushnarenkovo)
Aidan O'Brien / Joseph O'Brien
Good run on bow, sets the standard on that form and nicer ground to suit; this better race.
Siege Of Orleans (War Front x Watch)
Aidan O'Brien / Colm O'Donoghue
Suitably expensive yearling by War Front out of US Grade 3 winner; interesting sort.
Swordfight (Mastercraftsman x Dundel)
David Wachman / Billy Lee
Promise both outings and good enough to win a maiden but surprising if this were it.
U S Navy Seal (War Front x Questress)
Aidan O'Brien / Seamie Heffernan
Plenty of chat prior to debut lately but he went out meekly; sure better than that.

3.45 - Sapphire Stakes (Group 3) - 5f
Fountain Of Youth (Oasis Dream x Attraction)
Aidan O'Brien / Seamie Heffernan
3/4l behind Extortionist in Windsor Castle, not achieved a great deal since; blinker now.

4.50 - Railway Stakes (Group 2) - 6f
Battle Of Marathon (War Front x Sayedah)
Aidan O'Brien / Seamie Heffernan
Won maiden last week at I Will Excel's chief expense, progressive and do not ignore.
War Envoy (War Front x La Conseillante)
Aidan O'Brien / Joseph O'Brien
Wayward Coventry also-ran; headgear today and likely to show much more; smart earlier form.

5.30 - Irish Derby (Group 1) - 1m4f
Australia (Galileo x Ouija Board)
Aidan O'Brien / Joseph O'Brien
Further rain the only concern for colt who lived up to his pedigree in winning the Derby.
Geoffrey Chaucer (Montjeu x Helsinki)
Aidan O'Brien / Seamie Heffernan
Third to Fascinating Rock at Leopardstown; failed to do himself justice at Epsom.
Kingfisher (Galileo x Mystical Lady)
Aidan O'Brien / Colm O'Donoghue
Raced prominently until dropped out of contention from two furlongs down in the Derby.
Orchestra (Galileo x Bywayofthestars)
Aidan O'Brien / Michael Hussey
Chester Vase winner did not get the best of runs at Epsom, making up numbers again.

6.40 - Celebration Stakes (Listed) - 1m
Giovanni Boldini (War Front x Dancing Trieste)
Aidan O'Brien / Joseph O'Brien
Back to something like his best in Jersey last week; does not want rain; the one to beat.
