Why would anyone play a pick 6 and take less than 1% share?

Heinrich
1) H can not accommodate funds, if you look on the website you will see it goes directly in the interbet account created for the purpose
2) I am not here to take anybody's funds, I can play the P6 on my own if I want to
3) I am the guy who sponsored R2000 for th July day Comp, why will I have to take other peoples money
4) I do this in part to share the excitement of maybe having a ticket in a massive payout come the last leg of the P6

I would expect it to be a given that any pick 6 syndicate worth its salt, would be utilizing multi-ticket perm software.

Taking a single ticket exotic is an absolute mug's game.

JB,there was no suggestion that it was a scam by any poster. The discussion was whether there was value and who would invest money in somebody else's fancies

However, you seem to be extremely sensitive and defensive................a little like with your ownership proposal!!

my take....play the p6 like any other meeting...the results are not gonna suddenly be any different because there is 11 bar in the pool...i think that personally...the results r gonna be favourable...so for me...i am gonna make money catching it for a normal 5k perm...and piggy bank on a dividend,by others trying to catch the 1 ticket scenario...had a look at the fields and some races only 3/4 can win it by what i see...even the july...theres about 8 runners ,.i wont even put in a grade 3 event never mind the july

100% - concentrate on horses with good form and GOOD DRAWS - every year mug's money comes in and you can make a profit by doing the basics while others will be punting names and lucky numbers

Agree 100%- from a punting point of view every bet needs to be treated on its merits, regardless of the festival aspect........................................I have said before ,when betting ,treat the July as just another MR handicap!
You can get burnt getting caught up in the hype...............a lot of people lose most money chasing carryovers and mega pools.

Rob, RG and Mr H I agree with you gents however stranger things have happened on these big days, one bomb, and the P6 pays bombs. I have a feeling the track is going to play a major factor on the day and the results can be strange. Seems to be cutting up badly and might affect the later races as well as horses on their distance limits.
I think the P6 is going to pay plenty.

everybody has their different stratedgies..and that what makes racing so interesting.....my boet caught last years p6 on the premise, that big days belong to big stables...so included the tarry runner.for the lads and the alec laird runner...and offcourse the coupling rule applied with tarry having about 4 runners in the july...aND PUTTING the scratched horse that was coupled with de kock s runner in the last...and hoped like crazy that beach beauty remained the tote favourite....but yes i agree the track could play a part in the results...but like i say...ill play it normally for the most part
