Phumelela
10 years 11 months ago
Hi guys
Phumelela happens to be a lot of peoples favourite punchbag and often probably rightly so.
It would not be fair though if good service was not also mentioned when experienced. This past Saturday I took a few first timers to the big T.
Some of them are shareholder in a racing project that I have undertaken and a few are colleagues from work.
I have been fortunate enough to attend some of the bigger race meetings as a guest of Phumelela and off course these events are always very well organised.
My expectations on Saturday was not very high having heard of countless bad experiences but I have to say that I was honestly blown away by what we encountered. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the food was first class and my guests all commented on it being an experience that they would like to repeat.
Well done Phumelela for making our day special and for leaving a positive memory in the minds of a few newly exposed guests.
If this standard can be maintained throughout there is hope for our sport yet.

Hell Greg Riaan needs a GPS to find a Racetrack - How often is he actually on course? I think if Jacob Zuma went Racing three more times a year he'd give Riaan a good run for his money

There is certainly nothing wrong with the big T as far as facilities, food, service etc
Scott and William give great service, Calvin's food and prices are magic, Clare looks after the boxes and the place is very well kept and a World class facility

A thumbs up for the Big T - Angie @ Kelvin's bar, Elevation for food but service can be slow, the Deck is recommended, and the chicken pie in the box is scrumptious.
