Do Trainers make big money?
10 years 11 months ago
In discussion with various people over many years the concensis is that most trainers every where in the world
just make a living and some not even that
In the RSA the top 20 probably do very well but if one compares them to a lawyer or accountant who works for themself
they are way behind
Am I right?

Take a trip out to the Vaal and see how many trainers LIVE in their stables(as opposed to owning a home) - not all do well

The top 20 in any field do well....
A more appropriate question would be whether or not the field is worth being in.

Sorry been begging for airtime so I could reply!
Guys at the top do very well. Further down it is much harder especially with cash flow if owners do not pay quickly as most feed companies want money up front and wages cannot wait. A good earning horse helps.
