Remember punting on horses is seen as a negative by most ppl, the
sport also has a reputation of bring crooked and cruel to horses,

Personally I wnt post with my real name cos if a future employer,
business opportunity comes my way I dnt want to be seen to be
associated with something that many ppl are against

Unfortunately you are correct - I'm not saying that every Gambler is a problem Gambler but I think that many employers would think twice before employing a known Risk taker(unless that was an attribute they needed) - I'm certain a Google search will find that name instantly but you would have to be specific in your search I suppose

Craig Euedey....

DO you though think that sometimes criticism can be warranted and appear rude and is it possible for 1 poster to criticise someone on a Monday and Praise them on a Tuesday?

Just because someone challenges or "insults" you over apples does not mean they will do so over pears.....anonymity allows that to happen because the
"victim" can't sue.....

Now going forward someone can be "in trouble" for an opinion on a Monday and not be around on the Tuesday to pass a different opinion.....

From all my time on ABC as soon as "someone really crosses the line" they have been removed.....

Some of the stuff i have written to you might seem and even be offensive to your good self BUT it was not removed because maybe it was felt it never really crossed a line........and worse than that maybe some people agree.....

I don't think this should be "open season" on trainers and jockeys BUT it takes a really strong character to sometimes bite ones lip at blatant poor racing....

Easy ,I agree with your basic points but am trying to understand how they affect anonymity.............(Louis and I agree on some things and strongly disagree on others.........that's what being objective should be)
However,we both know who each other are ,so when I meet Louis one day(maybe in the box) I can't pretend I am not the guy who told him occasionally that I thought he was being a twat (:D) ,but I bet we will still be able to enjoy a booze together

Easy, I know most people cannot spell Eudey but this is how it is spelt!>:D< Seriously that Poster just appealed to my sense of humour and given some of the blatant stirring posts on ABC I thought that some might like to read it. With regards to posting under your own name my feelings are very well known. If you are going to say that in your opinion I don't know what I am doing or a Jockey stuffed up in a race then you must have the balls to put your name there or keep your opinion to yourself. Always been like that and I am not changing my opinion on it.

Guys when I joined ABC I chose my alias to make my self very anonymous as punting horses is frowned upon by a lot of society. I have now been on the clan for a year and respect what is trying to be achieved. Haven't met any of the folks on here but a sense of family through punting has been established. My name is Colin Davson and I am a 22 year old student in Pretoria with some private business ventures in the pipeline. Hibs I would take it changing my name on ABC is simple on the profile at the moment and would avoid any further inconveniences and won't hesitate to provide any further contact details.

I think as I'm probably one of if not the youngest member of ABC it's safe to say that the sport is growing in terms of attracting new faces young and old. To that I'd say that phumelela and gold circle did get me into the game however the clanners on ABC make it more then a game and are probably the reason why I'm still enjoying my racing. I think ABC could be able to work with phumelela and gc to ensure transparency and as with me maintain the love of horse racing.

There's nothing more beneficial then getting other clanners such as frodo, Mr H the Englander to name a few providing their thoughts on say my selections because at the end of the day we are all trying to help each other turn a profit.

Thanks for the time chaps.

Colin
