A few words from the owner/breeder..

Let me tell you why this pedigree works! Pass The Duchy's dam GRAND DUCHY produced a filly called LADY MORGANA. LADY MORGANA was the first ever winner by JUDPOT. She was a first time winner by 3 lengths, easy. Although she ran twice more, both in black type company, she finished down the field and never ran again, I too want to know what happened? So what has JUDPOT got to do with MAMBO IN SEATTLE? Actually, I will say they are mirror images! You see JUDPOT is by A P INDY, MAMBO SEATTLE is out of WEEKEND IN SEATTLE which is a FULL sister to A P INDY! Then you have MAMBO IN SEATTLE which is by KINGMAMBO, as you know the most lethal part of KINGMAMBO is that his dam is MIESQUE, which happens to be the dam of JUDPOT! So there you go!

Back to PASS THE DUCHY, one of the theories or methods of breeding by pedigree is you want to choose the best available sires! A bit like using Dosage theory and it is the total dosage points that has already statistically proven to be way above average in terms of quality and quantity of BT horses produced. So what is so special about PASS THE DUCHY, the reason is she is by CAESOUR, I think I paid the most expensive ever paid for a Caesour filly in SA back in 2007 on Bouncebackability so there you go, why I like CAESOUR as a broodmare sire! then you look at the dam of PASS THE DUCHY, GRAND DUCHY is by WESTERN WINTER! Another great sire! Of course in Duchess Daba, the second dam of PTD, in NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, you get yet another top class sire! So in PASS THE DUCHY, you have three generations of top class broodmare sires!

Now onto CAESOUR, as you know this season MISTER CRICKET had already placed second in the Gauteng Group 1 Classic. The breeding pattern behind is inbreeding to NUREYEV! So this weanling that I am selling has a very close pedigree pattern with LADY MORGANA PLUS inbreeding to NUREYEV, MR PROSPECTOR, GRAUSTARK, SECRETARIAT etc! Also of note is that CAESOUR is by NUREYEV out of a Graustark mare as does MIESQUE! Also, so very nice of Cathy Martin(Hadlow Stud), she told me this pedigree pattern is rated 20:20 Goldmine, please do check as I have not got that software!

MAMBO IN SEATTLE has a great pedigree, just like JUDPOT! As he is 3/4 LEMON DROP KID! Also, from his first handful of two year olds that had ran so far, not bad at all! I hope who ever buys this filly will get a group horse! All in all, definitely worth a gamble on that pedigree! My number of horses are exploding and I need to cut down on any future fillies! You will hear more from me on future fillies! But I do spend alot of time working on the best chances of producing high class horses!
