Hmm, according to a Phumelela press release dated 4 April 2014:-

The Hong Kong Jockey Club has given the green light for Hong Kong races to be screened in South Africa again. Tellytrack CEO John Stuart announced last month that screening of Hong Kong races was being discontinued “pending further developments”, but approval has now been received for TV coverage of races at Hong Kong’s Happy Valley and Sha Tin racecourses to resume.

Hong Kong races will be shown on Tellytrack International, which can be viewed in TABs and at racecourses. There is also a Tellytrack International web stream available to TAB account holders on www.tabonline.co.za and to tabgold account holders on www.tabgold.co.za

OK, so why then did we get the Champions Mile this weekend (albeit unannounced and delayed), but not last weekend's QEII Cup ??

......Frustrating. Is an under statement.....John Stuart has a lot to answer to....., their policies do not make any sense.....they are undoing all what is good in our racing at a time when we should be show casing our greatest achievements

Mr Jooste himself is a non-executive director of Phum. So, what do you think all this tellycrap saga means? I don't get it.

The levels that men like Jooste are involved, matters like these are like "white noise".....how can he know.....he is in HK with his entourage celebrating his successes....why should matters like these be of any concern....he has naught to benefit from improved telecommunication he is top dog in the game.....so he lives the life and this minor matter is of little or no concern.....why should he want what has been accomplished by one of his acquisitions to go to others live or 9 min after his joy and thrill....it is of little or no consequence.....::o

As for the rest of the executives of P they sit pretty.....the race was delivered to TT al be it delayed....they did their bit.....a knee jerk reaction for not delivering the Hong Kong Derby or the QEII Cup a week prior....:S

It is only us few that moan and bitch.....and we are and never have been regarded as anything other than faceless and nameless trouble makers....:(

This idea to blackout racing is stupid and the person/s that came up with it will rue the day they thought they knew what the punter wanted(more like what they wanted) without first doing a professional survey. It seems that the war with bookies has caused a rise in spite at TT and Phum and the end result will be lower turnover and eventually job losses. Blackout of sports events is not new but has failed always or televised sport would not command a premium at broadcasters. Wake up quickly before the International fare is funded completely by the R20 churnover punters that frequent the totes. How on earth could this stupid plan be signed off by people that should know better? Imagine if the cigarette companies could have a channel all to themselves to push their brands - Do you think they would throw their growing market in the bin just to spite illegal importers? Really I do hope when the dust settles and economics result in a return to a formula that worked those that supported and designed this plan are exposed.

I love a punt on Singapore racing and nothing pisses me off more than seeing how strategically Tellycrap's dividend scroll covers the Singapore odds. How can one have a bet with no betting guidance? Is this also a ploy to prevent bookies offering fixed odds on Singapore racing?

That may have been me that said " a very good miler"

But I also said " England would win The Ashes "

But I can't remember saying "not a champion", if I did then I'm as wrong as that guy up in London who keeps saying "the end is nigh"

Why is VC with MDK now,Ramsden must be gutted.
