Dnt these ppl realise that the racecourse is their office? A place to
be at yr finest to attract new clientele, the mind boggles when I see
them looking like they just left the soup que at the shelter

Surely its not to much effort to put on a suit and tie

Hard work saddling a horse in a suit? rather hot walking about with a jacket on?

most trainers don`t just turn up and let grooms do all the work

Most of the trainers are swerving and this is perhaps why they may look like they have just
left the soup kichen

Professionalism, pure and simple, they dnt regard their racing as bush racing
catering to the uneducated masses which is the life blood of sa racing until
they pass on and then sa racing will slowly die, fact

and Gavin Smith
there is a lady trainer do not want to name but she normally looks scruffy and I wonder if she just spend a little bit of time she would appear so much better
Generally lady trainers look better than some of their male colleagues
Dorrie always looks well dressed as well as Coerien Besterthere are others as well but these came to mind

Just my opinion but hate to see owners looking scruffy, I feel it's such a privalage to have a winner due to the hard work of grooms, trainer and jock and it is the sport of kings (:P)

You ain't seen nothing yet, in the old days you could make out who was a battling trainer by the way he was dressed. Trainers like Claude Allen, G.M.Thompson and Mr.Thompson's son always wore the same beige coat and pants every time he came to the course.

The Passmore brothers Reg and Hilton esp Reggie always smart in the suit , never without the hat on the head, going strong well into 80 yrs old.(tu)
