Dogs are handicapped by time,a dog will usually start in one of the lower grades and work through the grades.
If a dog wins on debut he will be raised a grade and will keep on being raised if it keeps winning,if they keep winning they can become too good for graded racing then they might go open racing
The Top grade at a track is A1 ,higher than that is open class

Why doesnt the commentator call the dogs by their names and not by their numbers? The commentary is like the commentary on Swedish chariot races.
