I am about 8 kms away. Still raining quite heavily, rain gauge shows 25 mm's overnight.... but who cares about whether they race ir not, I take my discretionary spend to Grand West tomorrow night, enjoy a good meal, some blackjack and a JWB or two.... no concerns about delayed streaming, tote manipulation etc.

Plenty rain this side and it is still raining.
I hope it subsides as it has been lean times for trainers, jockeys and owners in the Western Cape.
The bills/costs remain the same even if we race sparingly and some industry members are under a punishing ride at the moment.
Hopefully we race today and race sensibly in the wet conditions, but the show needs to go on as there is a long winter ahead.
The card looks tricky with Aldo Domeyer my pick to have a good day: Moulin Royale, In Tribute and I am the law.
Yeah, it has stopped raining !
