Taxation from Racing

I believe having spoken to bookmakers and Tab agents that tax generated from racing for the month of March will be the lowest in about the last 5 years.I also believe that if Tellytrack dont show a picture in the various outlets they not entitled to the tax they receive from bookmakers. The tax last year was R102 million.I think the govt should make the take from bookmakers 3% and then let the punters make hay whilst the sun shines.Well doneLG ihope your mates bought you some horses at the sales since you seem to know everything before its announced!!

Heard another rumor, possible P6 carryover tomorrow at the Vaal.

A number of punters, big players not planning to feed the trough.

P6 made up of 5 handicaps and 1 maiden for the last leg....you got to be kidding. This is a fcking nightmare for anyone who wants to take a chance on the "Get rich before Lunchtime slogan".

What a bunch of dismal marketers. Probably bought there Marketing qualifications over the counter.

Zero spend for me.

Apologies for posting on this thread, as I did not see any Vaal thread opened yet.

What i was trying to get accross was the low tax yield for the provinces and GC/phum.It seems that no one know about the agreement that to receive the tax phummust put on the show.I see that the Gauteng gaming board has not updated their website since may last year, should we have faith in their capabilities

LOL, not sure if government bodies understand the meaning of work, let alone spell it, or misprounce it as Wok. Blame it on the oriental influence.
