Fly in this afternoon. Traditional braai this eve with my mate Harold Crawford at Milnerton stables and footslog tomorrow.
If anyone wants an assessment or conformation report on any horse, feel free to ask. No obligations, just something for clanners which I will gladly do.

Hi Louisg, thanks for the offer. I will send you my list of horses to look at for me. When you have finished can you drop the reports off in the pub there for me. Thanks Craig;)

Some very nice sorts here, overall even better than last year. As with any Sale, nust look carefully.
We are just about done with first looks and will have final inspection list by this afternoon. Tomorrow we do close scrutiny, values and compile our final list.
Overall, I believe that average price will be very similar to last year and good value will be around, with those type of horses. Obviously, given the huge incentive of the $1M Race, the expensive ones will be even more so.
Nothing compares to the Cape in terms of the scenic beauty and lifestyle, imo. The Cape Sales guys are really fantastic and lay it all on, all day long and as last night, at night as well. What a surprise to dine on the hill with the magnificent panoramic views, Bloemendal !
Tonight is the spitbraai, here at Sales at Durbanville, courtesy of the Kuda Insurance team. I hope some forumites make a turn....Peekay, Madji, etc...?
