For me it depends on the odds. If all are short priced I would rather take a 4 Fold, if at longer odds I would go for a Yankee so if 2 win you will still make some money.

Depends on the individual Zesto... all about how much you can stake and, perhaps more importantly, want you want to win. The yankee is obviously the safer bet as you still have a chance of a return with a loser, the 4fold won't allow you the luxury of getting something wrong but obviously gets you the bigger win if you put all your stake on the atc and it comes up. For me personally, I did a treble yesterday and just did it straight because the odds of the horses involved were not big, if I had chosen 3 5/1 shots for example then I would have done a patent (or yankee in Hwood terms). The first thing imo is to determine your stake, roughly calculate what you would win by doing a yankee based on that stake and if you are not happy with that then play the atc (and pray lots!) lol

If your lucky and have a high street near by,usually those greedy bookmakers flood the area with multiple shops..
To have so much competition they normally do a bonus on multis( not stupid) and you can do a lucky15 and have triple the odds if you only have one winner.
You bag a 5/1 winner on its own and it's money back.
I know someone who had a 50/1 winner on its own and Corals returned it at 150/1

Lucky 15 you need a 7/1 winner or 2 2/1 winners to clear the bet
a yankee 2 3/1 shots or 3 short price winners clear your bet
Dave tell them about the Lucky we had at christmas
Personally i don`t play yankees or L15`s with short priced runners involved, the bookies love those bets as there is very little risk when all 4 don`t win
If i like 4 or 5 horses that are say around 1/1 i will do trebles and the atc
so 4 trebles and an accum
Just say 4x R50 Trebles and 1 R100 atc the bet costs R300
if they all won at 1/1 it would return R3200
atc pays R1600
1 treble pays R400
so if 1 loser a small profit
in a yankee at R25 the bets costs R275 (roughly the same as above)
4 x 1/1 shots if they all won it would return R1800
6 doubles
4 Trebles
ATC
One loser at the bet would return R500
Pay your money make your choice
a yankee 2 3/1 shots or 3 short price winners clear your bet

What you need to consider with a Yankee bet............
It consists of 4 horses and 11 bets...............if one horse loses you are 25% wrong but lose 63% of your stake.........if 2 horses lose you are only 50% wrong, but lose 90%of your stake.
Bookmakers love them.
Yes there are big returns if you crack one, but the odds are not favourable IMO!
Some years ago ABC ran a yankee competition for a few weeks................if my memory serves me ,not one entry got a full house.

Can't talk,just suffered watching England v Australia
Backed Bresnan and Broad to be top run scorers at 66/1 and 100/1
England collapse and both are at crease with a measley 21 to beat,2 overs left and Broad is on 12 and Bresnan 14..
Useless twats, hit one boundary in last 2 overs,I thought this form of cricket was swing and hit..
Taking the dog out:S

I must say i LOVE the yankee bet.
firstly you can chose from multiple centres - the best bet of the day from EACH if u like.
must say i've had a fair run of late,
just find one 14/1 shot and 1 or 2 at 3/1 & you have a nice return.
SHOULD KING OF PAIN arrive at 14/1 then i'm in for a fair day me thinks / hopes
ONE of my possible yankees : Roman manner / King of pain / Tee jay / Paddy o Reilly
good punting guys.
