UK Wednesday

Lingfield 3-00.

Kickingthelily, has a ew chance and if it's fully tuned up after a break she has a good winning chance.
Last time she came back from a break she won well at 20/1,so it seems she goes well fresh.
Trainer Rae Guest has had 2 winners and a 2nd in last 4 runners.

Currently 12/1 and stable do punt,so may be worth watching market.

Horses linked to Curley at centre of gamble

BY PAUL EACOTT 12:25PM 22 JAN 2014

FOUR horses with links to former trainer and legendary gambler Barney Curley are among five significant moves.

Eye Of The Tiger at Lingfield, Indus Valley and Low Key at Kempton, and Seven Summits at Catterick, have all been cut, as has Callisto Light at
Eye Of The Tiger, who is having a first start for Des Donovan having previously been trained by Curley, is as short as 5-4 with BetVictor having been freely available to back at 4-1 this morning. The German Group 2 winner, who lines up in the 1.30, was put in at 10-1 last night.
Stablemate Indus Valley, off the course for 700 days, is due to return in the 4.25 at Kempton. He is no bigger than 2-1 having been an 8-1 chance this morning and as big as 20-1 last night.

Low Key, trained by Curley's former assistant John Butler, races in a visor for the first time in 6.25 and has been cut to a low of 8-11 (from 7-2) this morning having been chalked up a 7-1 chance.

Another former Curley inmate, Seven Summits, races in the 1.40 at Catterick and has also been the subject of a notable market move. Having traded at 7-1, it is into 2-1.

When contacted by the Racing Post Curley declined to comment.

David Stevens of Coral said: "We have seen business for all four
horses, but we're not sure at this stage how much of it is down to
people just jumping on the bandwagon. We missed the really big prices overnight.

"It seems people are putting two and two together and assuming Barney Curley is behind it, but it doesn't seem to be a nationwide coup. We do have liabilities with shop multiples, but I wouldn't like to say at this stage that we are talking about a master coup."

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: "We latched onto it early enough to prevent serious damage being done. We didn't get caught up in the
overnight business. We're happy with the mechanisms we have in place to prevent this sort of thing.

"With social media these things surface much earlier these days and
that's no bad thing."

In the concluding race at Kempton (7.55), Callisto Light, who is due to have a first start for Michael Squance having last raced for George Prodromou in October 2011, is now trading at a low of 4-1 having been backed in from 16-1.
