Morning Hibs..think most people like me was under the impression you needed to pay yesterday.
only found out the morning its free,it wasnt packed at all but then again the Queens Plate never is.

Dissapointing after party,just after 10pm they closed all the bars,many disapointed people who paid and for some reason it finished early this year.

its time racing accepted the fact that the days of people going racing are over bar the met and the july but your average racegoer who went once a week many years ago isnt going to go back...accept it and move on

and accept the fact that racing will evolve to an online platform just as other sports have (look at how empty the soccer/rugby stands are unless there is a big match) - Get the mobi and online presence into top gear and make sure the systems like live streaming and tote boards work and we'll survive -

even more reason why a online racing platform should be developed for those select few at home before these punters pack it in and move on. the problems we had with tab yesterday and the fact that experienced racing people are being layed to pasture does certainly not help imo.

i was fortunate to be given a book on the statistics of sa racing by john bescoby the owner of beach beauty and it shows the decline of on course turnover as opposed to the increase in online betting turnover and telephone betting over the last decade...its not rocket science that racecourse attendance is a thing of the past
