Logistical problems with the windscreen wipers Dr W.

What a bizarre happening to cause the abandonment of a race meeting

Way over the top Catsmug,

I don't see anyone expecting lives to be put in danger for the sake of a race meeting, it's the bizarre event that is been commented on.

Shouldn't the basic rules of the road been adhered to in the first place.....
especially wiper blades knowing quite well that its going to rain....

Could not agree with you more Catts ...but surely an alternative mode of transport could have and should have been made available

Sorry guys, when you say the 'bus' - what bus do you mean?

Is it the one that carries the 'stewards, stalls - lol!

Trying to work out how ONE Bus, can halt a meeting?

Cheers, Jim.

From what i know the bus transports the jockeys from Jhb to Kimberley (450 kms), the stipes travel by plane.

Not all the jocks go on the bus - the privileged few were stood down before the (delayed) last race a week ago, due to having to catch flights.

Anyway spare a thought for Schlechter and Fortune - presumably they still flew to Kimb from CT this morning.
