I Thought I Died & Went To Viewers' Heaven

Call me slow but I have only recently discovered the streaming of UK racing on the Saftote site.
What a joy! Goodbye to the Andrews' sisters ( Julie, Vicky & Nadine ) with their ghastly nasal utterings and inane comments. Goodbye to Cecil who insists on waffling through the first half of most UK races. Goodbye to quarter screens and visuals overwhelmed by dividends and 'tips'. No more cringing whilst Mr Cohen butchers his vowels.
Today - whilst many of you were probably being cleaned out by the mule racing at the Vaal - it was a pleasure to follow the racing at Southwell & Huntingdon. We got to see the canter down, comments and the WHOLE RACE without a single centimeter of the screen obscured by 'information'. I had forgotten how pleasant it can be. And best of all - there was no cutaway in the last quarter of the race to watch horses circling at the start at the Vaal or being 'bundled' ( that's a polite term! ) into the stalls in South Africa. I kid you not - I am convinced (based on past experience) that Tellytrack would cut away from the Epsom Derby to show a groom taking a dump behind the stalls if they could. Lol.
I have said it once and I'll repeat it here - They bet to better percentages in the UK. The market is a LOT more accurate. And they are not remotely interested in promoting 'lottery style' bets as is becoming the norm here.
I am quite comfortable with SA racing getting priority on Tellytrack. But streaming would appear to solve the problem of the 'second channel' which we have long been asking for.
Who knows - given Multichoice's disdain for Channel 239 streaming may well represent the future of simulcasting.

I learnt something new in this thread. Tellytrack being run by a bunch of fuck leads to annual increases in stakes. Amazing.
