yes hibs, i think we should book a table and demand that. I would want to be fed grapes and feather leafed like i'm a Roman emperor, lol.
Its the same room, tables and chairs, cutlery, tablecloths as this week. So, it could only really be the menu that could justify the 10x p.p. escalation, right?

We still have a l-o-n-g way to go before we catch up with some of the premier international race meetings :

Book yourself into the glass fronted restaurant at Cheltenham and you will pay about 550 pounds per person per day ( 4 days ) EXCLUDING drinks. So if you decide to host a party of 4 for the full festival you are in for 8,800 pounds ( R 154,616 ! ) before travel, accommodation, drinks and punting costs.

On that basis R10,000 for 4 at the Met looks positively cheap!

HOWEVER - as many of the races bet to 7/1+ the field you can often 'get out of it' with just one successful modest strike. Lol.

I really don't see the problem here .

As a season ticket holder I had to pay to sit in my own seat to watch the Currie Cup final , which would have been fine, if the sharks hadn't fluked an intercept and then played spoiling rugby:)

Uber taxi service (normally) an awesome app, check them out . Charged 6 times their normal rate on New Year's Eve.
