With Phum adopting WC Racing I presume they want to keep the QP as the only meeting for the day.

sorry my mistake(I remember it always being held close to the first week in Jan and has been run on the 1st before but did not check as i should have) - now i really have no idea why the meeting is stand alone

I'm sure they will come up with some excuse - but I can't understand taking into account the washed out meetings, why they can not program a meeting on either Tuesday or Wednesday :S

I recall New Years Day and Boxing Day meetings seated in the Pavilion where the bookies are now in situ.

IMO the only reason is to ensure that the ALL P6s, JPs, BiPs & PAs bets go into one Pool instead of 2 or 3 per race course.

This is to artificially PUSH up the Pools of the exoctics so the Powers that be can brag of the incresed investments due to their . What a load of s----, so the owners will now have less races to run their Horses with a negatively affected oppotunaety to earn Stake money.
