Sticking to the thread title, 007 has every right not to have his real name used on the site, there can't be one rule for one and another for the rest whatever personal thoughts and feelings may be. I do not know enough about the true facts of his individual circumstances and as such, I have no personal issue with 007 nor with anyone who has spoken against him on the couple of threads he has started recently, but I do think he has a very fair point here. I am not sure there is a rule though that says real names can't be stated by other clanners if they happen to know it. Perhaps you should introduce this Bob if it is not already in place. If I was in 007's shoes I would be very p1ssed off with it. Those that he has requested state their real names have not done so which would imply they also feel this way despite naming him. Forgetting everything else, it does seem wrong.

Well put once again Englander. There are pros & cons whether one discloses ur real name. I am in favour of posters using real names but then again I am a pip squeak and only a small punter and see Horse Racing as a Sport.

When in comes to "investment" or "tipping" etc I think if you want to be taken seriously you should give the people on the site your real name. Dave and Bob have enough on their hands to regulate the site so if others have prior knowledge, good or bad, then they should post it as long as they can back up with facts. Many on here, including myself, regard Robert Bloomberg as a man that knows his Racing and the LAW better than most yet he was scammed by someone in Racing .....Have a read and then ask yourself if people that want you to invest in their products should remain anonymous?

Persistently using a clanners real name with the intent of defaming or mockery is definitely not kosher and such persons shud be prepared to divulge their own identity and not hide behind psedo's and snipe.(td)
