Hell who knows that is how much faith I have in racing because of today's events, trainers owners stewards stipes etc perhaps the Goverment should call for a rethink on Horse Racing and how it is run.

Good luck to those who backed it no blame can be placed on them nor should they be penalised nor in fact should the bookmakers, the blame should lay squarely at the feet of those responsible for assuring the punter that the horse they are backing is in fact the right horse, the new chip system is fool proof and as was mentioned earlier in the thread how was this not picked up?? the ONLY answer can be incompetent or lackadaisical staff', either way the mistake was made and heads must roll!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Racing Trust has become the greatest oxymoron of all time

The person who did the ID made a boo boo......human error.
....and once the horse had won and specimen taken once again being ID 'd was the mistake realized.....

I agree this can not be swept away ...but my point is for every loser/losers their are winners who for what ever reason found the winner.

There can never be a boo boo with names, it was not a mistake it was blatant cheating

Bt even those who backed the winner don't deserve the winnings cos that's not the horse they were backing:)o

I have to be honest..I have had a horse loaded incorrectly with wrong passport who ended up in Zimbabwe instead of a local venue..however it was fixed and people do make mistakes..but when they go to races thats a different thing all together..theres a lot of money involved so that needs to be checked closely..scanned doubt it

Im not sure that it was a blatant cheat coz all the folk that would have to be in it would have the power to see to it that it was never exposed....a stupid and expensive oversight that needs to be sorted out ....

100% O,the person who scans the runners simply did not do his/her job and as an employee of P they must answer for it...
