Tomorrow (Tuesday’s) “Stable Talk with Jimmy Lithgow”, on Tellytrack, at 06h45, will feature an interview with veteran trainer, Eric Sands, who numbers the greats, Jungle Warrior and Flobayou, amongst the many good horses he has trained.

Sands reminisces about the beginnings of his training career and also talks about some of the more interesting and promising horses he has in his Milnerton yard, at present, in the 10th episode of the programme, which is repeated at random, during downtime, on Tellytrack, for the fortnight following its first flighting.

The final two episodes of the programme will feature Yvette Bremner, and the horse with which she won a feature at Turffontein, on Saturday, Copper Parade, as well as Mike De Kock, with his interview including footage of his set-up at Mary Slack’s Abington House stables, in Newmarket, England.

Good point. Thanks, I will enquire, as I seem to remember that the Melbourne Cup coverage only finishes near to 07h00.

just received the line-up for tomorrow morning from Tellytrack and this is what it looks like:

Tuesday 05th November 2013

06:30 Melbourne Cup (Delayed)
*Note - No Tote Betting available
06:45 Stable Talk
07:00 Betting World's First Call Morning Report
08:00 REPLAYS: Monday Racing
09:00 REPEAT: BW First Call Morning Report

So they are obviously going to play a shortened, delayed version of the Melbourne Cup and will not be taking it live and offering betting.

We all have racing at heart, but when it comes to things like this, we are just wasting our breath or our time typing out our frustrations! Looks like we must put up or shut up

Thats why these days i just roll with it, cos its not worth it becoming uptight and stressed about things i will never be able to change

Brilliant show Mr Lithgow , of my time in racing I can only remember money bags as sands top horse, also refreshing to see that yogas govender, duncan howells and brett crawford have learnt some of their trade from him . He seems a very generous man by giving his grooms shares in the horses he owns. Well done Eric Sands may this be your season!
