Close finishes

Not sure if it's only me but watching races our local guys plus hong kong commentators and superb with photo finishes and make a positive call but the guys in UK are shocking when they have to make a commitment and then they cross back to the decimal lass who says we will wait for the judge and she is looking at a pick that shows half a length

Lol

Commentators in UK are mandated to not call close finishes, due to in running betting on the outcome of photos.

Not sure that is the reason, in running its normally the punters call, plus it's better to be on track due to timing difference , plus the Stewart's like to get on before official result is called

at least the race callers here dont come up with shit like "he leads by a horse and a tail" or the leader greets the judge or even worse the leader is scraping paint or he has fire in his eyes. The callers here dont guess and thats why they call for photo.

Don't really watch UK racing any more but they certainly used to call them and were usually excellent. If Dave is right, I was just wondering if the latest "newbies" in the UK had perhaps had their training in the SA School Of Commentary >:D<

Scraping paint
Torpedoed
Takes up the lead (when obviously 2 lengths back)
Goose pimples (from yesterday or the day before)
Oh Striker, Striker, Striker I looooove you sooooo much
etc

Er... and... er... its... I think... hang on hang on, guys can we roll that back please... yup yup, hold it... oh for fark sake you guys are sh1t...

the last one is my personal favourite >:D<
