Race 1 - Henry of York looks a smart sort .

Drawn badly (like last time) and the track running quick count against him , but last time would have gone much closer if it weren't for some traffic problems . Jockey had nowhere to go at the 300m mark and switched from near the rail to the standside before powering home .

Hopefully he gets there this time .

I will not rule out dont care for a place. Van Zyl stables have a almost 50 % strike rate with places and

Since 28 July at Turfontein

Strydom = Placed 14 out of 21 races (66%). Won 6 Out of 21 Races (28%)
Khumalo = Placed 19 out of 30 races (63%) won 8 out of 30 (26%) - He had one bad day that brought his avg down, other days are pretty consistant

Lerena = placed 9 out of 23 races (39%). won 3 out of 23 (13%)

I will include strydom and khumalo in every selection in every leg just because

These were the parade ring comments by McCurdy about the 12 Strum.......Not verbatim but close enough.
"The 12 Strum Robbie Sage gets aboard. He was slow away on debut and was up handy all the way through from a bad draw. He stayed on ok that day and can improve".

I don't even know what to say to be honest.......
