Stalls Opening Early

Earlier at turf 3 stalls opened early. All 3 ran unplaced. No action was taken. I am assuming that if the horse had won, it wouldve been disqualified. So, because their shit gates cant open on time, once the gates open early, are we on a hiding to nothing? Is my assumption correct? Lose if we win, lose if we lose.

Correct ! Think what's more astonishing is how the starter did not see it. The stipes felt it had no impact on the result ? Not the point, it's plain and simple a false start.

As I stated on the Turffontein thread, it was daylight robbery imo - I did not catch any of the presenters on TT even questioning this - too scared to rock the boat - how could the starter not see it, it was shown to the world after the race; should have been a false start and the race declared null and void - at least from a punting perspective. This is one of those interesting predicaments cos the point is very valid..............but of course there is an alternative view that says if the horse couldn't win or place with an advantage,it wasn't going to without it!!!

whether they have run unplaced or not i`m a great believer that if the stalls open when they should have the race runs like its meant to be run,but if some horses get the jump this efects how a straight run race would be run..

the above is a bit of a Eric Cantona moment but i know what i mean :)

Wouldn't argue with that.................that is the problem with the inconsistent application of rules.
Rules should be clearly defined and then enforced accordingly.........would end a lot of the really angry threads!

If you want to make this exciting game exciting, try exiting...and then convey same to the many sucker punters who! are been conned, by self serving money suckers.

Pull out the investors ( read punters), and the the self appointed controllers of this game, will no longer have any control.
