Surely a political leader in a democratic country must have to be fit and proper?

Anyone who has the ear of the youth and economically disenfranchised is a major threat to the Government of the day.
If this EFF party gets off the ground they will do more damage to ANC numbers than all the current parties or new ones still to register.
Pity he is a peanut but if he can break the 50% majority that ANC has i hope he makes it.

The youth that he talks to are the youth that I hope never get into power - I would rather have 10 Zumas than one Malema - The intelligent voter of any age would not vote for this person

As a matter of passing interest: Floyd Shivambu (right-hand and spokesman of Juju) has a Masters Degree from Wits!
It is unfortunate that none of the ANC struggle veterans (including Madiba) groomed our young people as leaders with 'people skills', such as knowing, understanding and respecting not only every individual's rights, but also his/her culture, beliefs, languages, etc.
Instead, the 'successful' headed north (ironic...that the Bantu came from the North!) to Sandton, Houghton, etc, adopted Euro-centric values, jettisoned their own culture and traditions, kids in private schools who resent the township (in fact, know nix about it), etc.
My former veteran MK comrades in Eddie and Lucky Twala are launching SA-First and its Jhb congress is to be held within a week or two.
Since I will be attending, I shall appreciate input from concerned clan members on policy direction.
I, for one, believe that the Freedom Charter should be looked at (with necessary, practical deviations), policies be honestly inclusive of all our people, contribute towards promoting active engagement and mutual respect, nationalisation be discussed (even strategic; look at the objections to the privatised E-Tolls...! And, of course, the corporatisation of the horseracing industry! Monopolies should be a major worry!), health care (as Juju observes, 'Madiba should have been treated at Chris Hani Hospital'!), education (Oh Angie!), housing (Tokyo...gone!), employment (finding common ground by robust discussion with business and unions for the mutual benefit and future of our country), affordable and reliable transport and communication system (the privatised network suppliers are raking in profits by exploiting the consumer naked!), foreigners (not xenophobic!), etc.
Right now, the ANC is virtually decrepit, and the DA seeks to capitalise on the black disgruntled voters. The emergence of the radical EFF calls for a confrontation between capitalism and the aspirations of (promises to) the frustrated, misled mass. Agang is seen as another COPE.
I have tried to objectively contextualise a way forward; apologies if I drifted into confusion or non-approval.
