That the CAPE have asked for a big loan from GC Natal to keep them going?

I thought Cape racing was now part of Phumelela after the separation from GC KZN ?? Obviously not. :S

Rumour it is.....nice new big screen....revamp coming for the restaurants etc....great times ahead and NO borrowed GC monies needed.....and wonderfully prepared racing tracks.....and the Queens Plate and Met race days being 1 and 2 on calendar....but all of the above being IMVHO.....(

W.E you are a successful businessman...........does it not worry you that, with all these factors in your favour,to date survival has depended on subsidy, and WC racing still needs "P" to manage(sic) it.

W.E you are a successful businessman...........does it not worry you that, with all these factors in your favour,to date survival has depended on subsidy, and WC racing still needs "P" to manage(sic) it.

For a center that was once battling with small fields they now have 307 entries for Dbnville on the 16th (8 races) 262 entries on the 20th (8 races) no doubt they are doing something right and IMO will go from strength to strength...

titch,with all due respect...size of field does not have any bearing on the strength of a centre....they are starved of racing,hence the nominations...if anything its the loyalty of the owners of horses based in the WC,that is holding that center together....trainers are tired of waiting to crack good draws to run their horses....now they are taking their chances...the bottom line is ,WC should be holding more race meetings and if this is done,then 1 can imply that they are growing from strength to strength
