Thanx Titch

seems like the rating are thrown out by the weather conditions, this one ran far better than that but time will tell....

I would like to know who I'm supposed to sue for the surgery I now require as a result of the head wound that I sustained after falling off my chair @ my local coffee shop this morning when I read in the newspaper that Heavy Metal is now a 118?

April Fools day has passed months ago.

Just watched the rerun of the 9th race.. Beach Beauty is honestly different class..the way she quikened and won. Imo the only display of pure class on the day..(Master plan to a certain extent as well)..she wouldve trounced that July field imo..she will win the GR2 gold bracelet in a trott, with myself at 70kgs on her back even

I agree the ratings are wrong (again); however, very good run by Do You Remember (proving the 3 yr old fillies better thant the colts - and giving a few people red faces in the process - including me); so Cherry on the Top must be a star and Jet Belle should never have been eliminated ::o

I will wait to see what transpires in the Champion's Cup as I think the poor draws and soft going (pace too) destroyed many a chance.

I'm not sure that the handicapper will stand the test of time with this july's ratings.

It came down to deciding whether first 3 ran their ratings, or the 4th and 5th ran theirs.

Given that the handicapper spent a long time preparing for the july, when they got close to a dead heat with 3 horses you might have thought they felt justified.

However, they decided to rate the race on the 4th and 5th runners. What makes that interesting is the 4th horse is from a widely acknowledged suspect group of 3yo colts, and the 5th horse (who I backed btw) having spent most of it's career running 95's before the one extraordinary run in the Grery1900 to a capped 101 (or 107 if I heard the hcppers correctly) and looks to have run yet another 95 if Heavy Metal ran his 112 and you factor in Run For it and the two 3yo's. Even then using Jet Explorer as a line at 101 when he's never run a 101 (it was 95 or 107) is odd.

I can't agree with JE as the line horse - imo he did not stay the 2200; I'd much rather go with the top 3 as 'line horses'.

I have:

Heavy Metal - 112
Run For It - 106
Do You Rem - 107
No Worries - 106
Jet Exp - 99
Whitel Fev - 110
CTN - 106
Shogun - 104

JE patently didn't stay.I didn't think he would pre-race and the race just confirmed it.How on earth he can be the line horse I just don't get.
