I also feel money should be paid upfront, that way the onus is not on Blouperd (as the organiser) nor the competion winner to "sing"for any outstanding monies. Anyone wanting to participate pm's Blouperd for his banking details and he states all money be paid into his account by Friday. Anyone serious about participating wouldn't object. That way there is no sour after taste of people not paying. Just my opinion.

I am happy with that .... cos in the past I did all the chasing and it is not lekker feeling like a 'debt collector'

I would suggest that Blouperd calls competition closed for entries midnight Wednesday.... that gives him Thursday to PM all the entrants banking details and the chaps have until 10h00 on Saturday to show proof of payment ......and only those can post selections.

Come on guys ... 30 entries and the add from Blouperd makes for a very healthy R7k ...or 35/1 punt (tu)

Well it appears the best and "cleanest" way forward, hopefully Blouperd is in agreement and this may set the standard for future buy in competitions. Hopefully he reads the thread, agrees and we can pm for his banking details

I managed to win one such Buy-In some time ago, Met Day I think it was, and the buy-in was R 200.00 and R 50.00 - I entered the baby competition - everybody paid their R 200.00 however I would like to list, believe it or not, a clansman that I never expected would abscond from paying, did. And is name is:
