Durban July Horse Profiles

As we move closer to the Vodacom Durban July, I am putting together profiles on each of the horses taking part in this year's race.

These are easy to read profiles that provide basic information on each of the horses. They are great for people who don't study form (or who have never looked at a form guide) and are just your once a year punters.

It's also good for those overseas punters outside of South Africa who have an interest in Africa's biggest race.

Feel free to share it with your friends (especially the ones who will bother you for your thoughts on every July horse!).

Feel free to PM me facts that you think are worth adding to each horse profile. They will benefit all those that read it.

Started today with horses 1-3, and will do more numbers each day!

Thanks Dev, great write up.......

just as a matter of interest under the Run for it write up you mention that Snaith beat the SA record for most wins on one day by one trainer on the 12th May......sounds good but you mention that the previous record was 5?

I believe Gary Alexander twice won 6 races on a card at Turffontein.....but I speak under correction :)

Thanks Tommy. Was looking up facts on Dean Kannemeyer yesterday, and see that Peter Kannemeyer had ridden or trained (not sure) 6 winners on the same day. www.sportingpost.co.za/2013/05/29/racing...ds-peter-kannemeyer/

Maybe if someone can confirm I will happily change it!

Anyone else who has facts they think I should add to the post, please feel free to post them here and I will add them!
