Some get in because they won an 'important' race (e.g. Wagner), but how Wild One and Love Struck can get in before Rock Cocktail and the filly Jet Belle is hard to understand for us mere mortals

Not complaining about Rock Cocktail not making it as now Delpech can ride Jet Explorer. :D

I think that those that fancied COTT would agree then that Do U Remember should account for this field.

shrek, I also have a small double riding on JE, but how can the 'panel' justify (I know they will say they don't have to) leaving RC out (unless the stable indicated that he has a problem and would not run anyway - but why keep quiet abt it) and include Love Struck (where's Tellina then?) and Wild One; also in the case of the 3 yr old fillies, I'm not aware of any 'collateral form' between them and the 3yr old colts - so then use MR and on that Jet Belle should be in the race (and I have not had a bet on her) before LS and WO

Frodo, I said earlier I couldn't understand how Gothic and Wild One got in ahead of Rock Cocktail. Both of these horses are under heavy sufference in the race and Rock Cocktail is one of the few 3 year olds with exposed form against older horses. I would love to know what weight places in the Derby carry onto the July log as it looks like plenty.

Has LoveStruck ever been the July distance? I think the 1600m is the best distance for this horse......my opinion is that this one should not be in the race

I agree with MDK's sentiments fully. I just feel really sorry for certain trainers who have every right to feel aggrieved with their runners not being accepted. Good luck to those who got in, hopefully you capitalise on your chances!
