I would assume it falls into the "slight soft" category Jawad

Azzie has a whack of two-year-olds nominated for the feature on July Day - Alpha Male surely cannot be that great after that first run(wasted nom) - maybe Evergreen is the one but JUDICIAL is a good horse (mission RTR later this year - dry run for that race) - Hillbrow and Heart Of A Lion also decent horses that will win many races. Die Kat will have to watch out for Duty Dance in the first - That horse is Matchett special - Mr P x Danzig

Some interesting puzzles to solve - thoughts:

R2: Dover Beach really stands out on form (interesting that on USO Mr Azzie was confident - nothing new there - but mentioned that Die Kat was his best probably followed by Evergreen)

R3: Some very nice juveniles - Judicial beat Heart of a Lion twice before, today has a weight advantage and a slightly better draw - so looks the better value to me, but Evergreen also highly thought of by the stable ('my Classic horse for next year') - also Hillbrow looks very capable but may have some stamina doubts over the 1400 being out of a sprinting mare.

R4: White Whisper looks the standout - but Striker apparently not the confident (nothing new there) in his column, so maybe consider the de Kock runner Alborada Lady who had excuses for both her poor last 2 runs - all the others look held by White Whisper

R5: Very interesting - Valberg obviously the one to beat after a cracking run behind What a Winter and if re-producing that run will win easliy; however he does seem to have a few issues and has disappointed once or twice at odds-on before - beaten by Gold Site (better off at the weights today with V) on New Year's day, so even though the trainer was extremely confident on USO, an upset not entirely out of the question imo

R6: Very open apprentice handicap - draws likely to be a factor, so should be fought out between Reign Victorious (probably wise to ignore his last run when the stable was going through a bad patch), Keagan's Jet (some fair runs behind Bay if Bengal and Yorker on the turf) and Moonscape (has he recovered after his run on Thursday?).City Treasurer (also nicely drawn) and Clearly Keen (appy is on a winning streak and looks competitively weighted) could pick up the pieces if the top 3 fail.

R7; Thunder Dance (apparently being looked after by the de Kock stable while up here) has won over this distance and has the class so looks the right one from Honorine who looks the only real threat at these weights; clearly 3rd best (and perhaps capable of upsetting the top 2)for me is Cat's Game, who ran less than 3 lengths behind Jet Belle giving her weight

R8: Imo this depends on the strength of Magic Jet's last run and to me it does not look that great so evens not great value imo; admittedly the others boast some pretty moderate form as well, so the Azzie first timer (even though a juvenile) does not have to be a superstar to beat this lot - I think this race could be a potential pitfall in the exotics and for an each way flutter perhaps consider Critical Mind, who found trouble in her last run amd has pole position here.

R9: Dragon Fay improved with the blinkers and from pole poistion looks the right one to me (looked all over a winner last time); obvious danger Colonel Knox lacks early pace and with the track running fast could be coming too late again; only others for me to consider are Zapateo (may have needed his last start) and Clear Sky (could be looking for this trip)

Enjoy (tu)

Race 1 : DIE KAT (AUS) interesting runner and gee what a price to pay!!! If money could talk then this colt should be the best bet of the year at 7/10. Problem is we all know what usually happens... They get beat. Look at SPRINTING QUEEN first 2 starts. Not selecting a winner but it seems the betting displays the mercy of defeat to DIE KAT (AUS)... nice race to watch and if you have the money to chance, back DIE KAT (AUS)

Race 2 : DOVER BEACH does stand out however it's fair to say OLYMPIC GOAL, RAVING QUEEN, SANTA CLARITA and STRIKING ALICE have run to stronger 2yo. None of the 1st timers here appeal to me. KNOCK KNOCK is well bred and ran a good 4th to SPRINTING QUEEN whom we all know has a nifty price tag. KNOCK KNOCK presents good place value and looks the right bet.

Race 3 : JUDICAL has the beating over HEART OF A LION but it seems HEART OF A LION is much improved since then. HILLBROW takes a big drop in class after finishing last in his feature on the 25th May 2013, he's run to WILLOW MAGIC cannot be ignored and 400m to finish has HEART OF A LION stone cold. JUDICAL is very well weighted and could follow up. The two runners whom I find very interesting is the well bred EVERGREEN and DELICIOUS DAMOWIN (AUS). Others don't appeal.
