Was this Jacksons last race ? Sure I read this was possibly his last race, IMO the Met would be at his mercy ?

Jackson was in DD's stable but if you don't know how much time Brett spent there (in Durban) I think it's very wrong to give all the credit to DD.
Brett has always said this is a classy horse and has worked extremely hard on getting him back into shape, maybe he had assistance from DD but I feel it's hard not to give Brett some credit.

As for people blaming Karis for previous losses, I think any jockey would have won on Jackson on Saturday so thumbs up to all parties involved in getting Jackson back on track, especially the owners whose patience have definitely paid off!

If Jackson has overcome his problem, it would be very interesting to see how he fairs against Variety Club now...

I sure hope they reconsider his 2013 stud carreer. He would have the Cape Season at his mercy and also a realistic crack at another July. These kind of horses are hard to come by, another year in training makes much more sense than sending him to some KZN stud standing for 15K(?) If next season goes well he could then easily ask 60K + a jump entertain far nicer ladies.

Regardless; Well to Brett, Ian and Dennis. Brett certainly knows how to train a Group 1 horse.
