Golf,players championship.

You need to be accurate of the tee at Sawgrass. This is the PGA Tours flagship event .
I have done some studying over the weekend.
1.Jim Furyk, local resident who has missed just 2 cuts in 16 years..he has 2 top ten finishes in 5 years.
Looks an ideal back then lay golfer, can't see him winning outright, but at 66/1 worth ew dabble.
I've backed him at 11/2 for a top ten finish.
2.Lee Westwood,has finished 10th,8th and 4th in he's last 3 tournaments,very good off the tee and if
he can get the putter going 25/1 looks value.
3.Bo Van Pelt, driving the best he ever has..worth looking at in match-bets.
4.kevin Streelman,he won in Tampa and has finished 3rd and 6th since.
At 100/1 I've played small, with a view to lay back if he hits the ground running,
5.Henrick Stenson currently leads the PGA Tour in total driving and greens in regulation.
Top European ew looks like a bet.
6.Tim Clark, won this tournament in 2010 and finished 11th in The Masters this year.2nd on tour with Fairways hit.
Looks a good bet for Rest Of The World.
All uk bookies have priced up odds for this tournament.i will post some match-bets and 3 balls nearer the time.

If you looking for accuracy off the tee Justin Rose must be a contender. Not sure if he is carded to play. I usually only look around Wednesday.
Tim Clark is a big shout and if he is to be a threat will be right up there after day 1. A good 3 ball winner pick imo.

I like Justin Rose, but he has had only one top 35 finish in 9 attempts at Sawgrass.
I also think Snedeker is a good player, but he has missed the cut on he's last 4 visits to Sawgrass.
I've played Tim Clark, top Rest Of World at 14/1 and top 10 at 8/1

Tim Clark,top South African 9/2
K J Choi,top Korean 11/8
Henrick Stenson,top Scandanavian 11/4
Graeme McDowell,top Irishman 2/1
William Hills were top priced the combined players.
I tried to stake £20 win Yankee and was offered a 40 pence win Yankee, total stake £4-40
This is a farking golf tournament not pony racing on Laytown Beach

The big drivers like Rory and Tiger struggle at TPC. They cant bomb the ball which means they hitting longer irons which is not there game. The greats, tiger, rory etc are good at getting around the greens but need to get there.
Ive looked at 3 possible options in Rose, Clark and Sergio. Will probably halve my bets for the original picks and then place the other half after day 1 when we see the conditions and how the players are fairing.
