Read an article written by Candice last season wherein she said Fayd'Herbe always felt King Of Pain is a top sort to the extent that he hopped off Abercrombie to ride KOP in the Langerman, and duly won. Abercrombie was odds on in that particular race if memory serves me right.

In the 5th, he can't make the weight.

Rest of the card, maybe he feels they don't have a winning chance - time will tell.

I don't think they've split though - open to correction.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
