We have discussed it before....C Laird gets his horses ready to run and many run well 1st time out........however many runner's first /second runs are also their best runs ever! (Trainer pattern?)

yes ,but he won the derby at clairwood in order to qualify for the july, if my memory recalls in 1989 beating Tropicante. Mark Sutherland rode him in the swamp.

Nothing in stipes report? I still doubt that all was well with this horse, even if not a superstar, ds run should be ignored imo. Something not right

Believe me the horse was fancied to kill. Charles Laird left the sales to go watch the horse gallop at Greyville last Sunday. He had high hopes for it!
