You can lease in partnership with Two Oceans Racing , only contribute towards the monthly expenses. Obviously you can then also visit the Two Oceans Racing Box @ Kenilworth on race days.

Anyone care to enlighten me as to the cost of leasing vs the cost of owning?
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

When you lease you make an arrangement with the breeder or original owner of the horse. You do not purchase the horse but pay the monthly expenses expenses in full. You also pay a percentage of the winning stakes to the breeder/owner of the horse ( this varies according to your agreement , normally 20 -25% ). It is important to note that the lease agreement can depend entirely on your agreement, therefore needs to be documented where possible. The horse returns to the breeder after her racing career and you may not sell her. I refer to HER as most breeders lease fillies for their racing careers and then breed with them once they have retired from the track. Leasing is a great way to be introduced into racing but you need good guidance with your selection because there are many horses out there that should not be on a track but are put out to lease in a last gasp attempt for a return. Hope this helps.
