We never fill our page & posts with marketing buff. We keep it simple and state the facts.

Yesterday we posted something profound, with regards to our Racing Division.

The very essence of Leadership, is Vision. You can't blow an uncertain Trumpet.

Our Vision & Mission Statement has always been very clearly defined, with one objective;

"Breeding Tomorrow's Legends Today!".

What was never part of our Vision, was to race all our progeny ourselves. Our policy has been to lease the fillies & sell the colts.

The skill of training our race horses in full training, was contracted out to third parties, who unfortunately, never shared the same vision, ethos and integrity, as our Owners. In fact, in hindsight, we now actually question their horsemanship and if they were actually, acting in the best interest of our horses and their well being. Evidence of this will no doubt be the topic of discussion and the latest "news", on the race courses in the coming weeks...

There have been periods whereby our leased horses have not been on the race tracks & when we asked about their progress, well being and at times ~ every conceivable excuse was forth coming and trumped up by one specific individual. Over promises & under delivering, became their forte.

This no doubt posed a problem for the Stud. Our goal is to have runners on the tracks, not for the Stakes Cheque, (and definitely not at the expense of our horses & their well being), but to prove our quality band of broodmares & their commercial credentials, in keeping with our Mission Statement. Our Black type mares are the cornerstone of our operation, our passion & business interest in this Sport. In fact, only one, of the twelve horses consigned, was by our Stallion BADGER'S DRIFT (SAf), whilst the rest were by the Cartier European Horse Of The Year - DAYLAMI (IRE), Champion USA Turf Horse - MIESQUE'S APPROVAL(USA), not to mention KING OF KINGS(IRE), MOGOK(USA), JALLAD(USA) and new Sire RAVISHING(SAf) etc.

As our Owners keep reminding us, when given a lemon in life - make lemonade. Problems become opportunities when the right people join together.

The Trumpet basket of fruit, including the lemons, is fast becoming a very precious jewel as we re-position & re-focus. Our 2010 & 2011 vintage which will debut in the months ahead now, under a newly structured racing management Team.

We will continue to keep you posted, as the events unfold, as we are no longer associated with an individual, who's racing privileges, have now been revoked by the National Horse Racing Authority of South Africa (NHRA), with immediate effect, as of today.

We breed blue blooded thoroughbreds & proven racing families & we will never compromise on the well being of either our sold, leased or our private horses in training & we certainly will never entertain defaulting liars again, who have hood winked us for months.

Finally the NHRA used it's bite and not just it's bark.
