Young Vicky Minott is trying very hard to do a competent job in front of the cameras and with continuous experience, she will definitely develop into a useful presenter who will be instrumental in getting the attention of the younger generation to show interest in the sport of racing.

That she's been a jockey is also a plus on the CV.

Unfortunately there are a few older mares and geldings who are intent on taking swipes and below the belt hits to this lass.Stan Elley is not one of them as he always brings out the best in people but after all he is Stan the MAN.[suggest blinkers removed and watch replay, will be very very GREEN, the 3rd race today.:]

Has been a student at Treverton College in KZN Midlands, one of the top institutions.

Vicky is doing a excellent job, why not use her in jozi as well...(tu)

I think she was superb.

Will be a great idea to use her on the SABC channel coverage of The Vodacom Durban July instead of what was on the Met this year.

She will definitely appeal to the fairer sex especially as been in the saddle and been horse-riding prefect etc at Treverton.

I listened to her for a while on tellytrack this afternoon and my thought was how much she's grown in confidence. She used to be such a mouse - now has plenty to say and says it nice and clearly. Stan is good the way he encourages her too.

I bet you Stan feels 10 year younger ...lol

she is very good and has come a long way as a presenter in a very short time...i thought her and stan were brilliant today and the whole day from the uso show being done from the track and the inserts shown before each race if u had missed uso was superb....its very clear in each centre who does the job well and who doesnt and stan vicky and neil p are by far the best in the cape as presenters ...in natal laff deez and sheldon do a very good job in pe gavin venter top class but in gauteng they are way below par ...unfortunately until recently the gautengers are used every day on first call but now iv heard deez do ntl previews and stan do the cape which is a move in the right direction..by now rutherford should now who the best presenters uso guests etc are and he should be clearing out the useless ones

And bringing back 2cents....

jason dedekind definitly best in jhb and julie has potential but surrounded by mediocrity which doesnt help her cause...also needs to read up on handicaping

Full marks for the dialogue with the work riders, must have had them gob-smacked to be interviewed by the tombie even if a little fanagalo here and there.

I think she is great and I did catch a bit of the conversation with the groom and it just adds to her overall appeal
