Don - You may struggle to find a copy of the one El Picha photofinish as it is still debatable as to whether the horse actually won! I understand they had to magnify it up to 400x to seperate El Picha and the Ferraris horse. Lol.

Garrick, this was one of my earlier racing memories..............and once the result went up, who was it that jumped into the air off the horse??

Model Man was my very first favourite horse

omw! ok I geddit!!! well perhaps we can high res scan and separate pixels and actually determine that then!! lol

SO THIS IS WRONG THEN? I need that photofinish please, anyone ?

Shrek, on that day, i had money on Young Rake! I was gutted

it had to be enlarged x400 ?- would that not have constituted a 'draw' a decade earlier?

At that time, i genuinely thought Young Rake won it, or at very worst, it was a dead heat.......that's why i say i was gutted when "superman" jumped sky high off the horse. I much prefer the memory than a few hundred rand (tu)
