I know this isn't related to the SA v Pakistan series, but really enjoyed this read on the NZ v England Test which starts tonight. Even if you just read the NZ team preview - very funny.

Party animals :D I remember in the 90's when the black caps toured, there was an incident where a few players got into trouble smoking pot in their hotel room.

Looking forward to Sundays opener as this is going to be a close series. Nice to see the likes of Bloem and Benoni getting matches.

great batting by the Proteas. Scoring over 300 in Bloem is like scoring 400 in PE because of the size of the outfield.

Congrats to the 1-day side on an exceptional win. Gives hope for some silverware down the line.

Just the same, I have to say: Test cricket's the real deal, at least for me. One-dayers and 20-20's? I quite enjoy them, but ... just don't quite ... they don't really ... something.

Dunno what ... I'm trying to think. Maybe it's because I'm an old fart and realize that the race in life isn't always to the swift or the battle always to the strong, that patience and the courage to keeping on trying, these count too. Test cricket's a bit like life or, anyway, life as I've experienced it.

If your top 4 batsmen can't get 50 on the board, you don't deserve to win. Walk in the park for Pakistan. Western Explorer, does he know what that word means? :D
