Pity about the false start which did impact a couple of runners, but I have no doubt that Variety Club would have won regardless.
Jackson and Pomodoro confirmed their Met credentials. However, Variety Club might still be too strong for them at level weights over the extra 400m.
Beach Beauty was ridiculously easy to back and won as expected. The joke is that she ran to her current best rating, and now has to carry an extra 2kg in the Met , yet she shortens in the betting!!! She should run in the money, but in my view can't beat the top boys in receipt of only 2.5kg.
None of those we saw in the Derby Trial can challenge Cape Town Noir or King of Pain in the Derby (will they try the Met or go for the Derby?)
Great rides by Sean Cormack and Anton Marcus in the two features. Very poor by Karl on Blake, and completely unprofessional cock-up by Grant van Niekerk in the weighing room to get The Which Doctor disqualified.

And I get crucified for making a point about the same "advantage", under the post" Did VC come under starters orders"

I mentioned he gained an "advantage", which he probably did, I never mentioned "fraud" or "orchestrated". :S

My observation too.
So with myself as a punter, and you as a jockey, with obviously more insights into racing than I have.
1. Where does accountability start. Has it been clearly defined.
2. Was the assistance starter aware of how his actions could impact on the outcome of a race, and was this explained to him by the person who employed him.
3. Will someone higher up be held accountable, or will the dispensable assistant have to face the music.
4. Does the word accountability exist in racing circles
