Send copy to the Judge President / Chairman,
Competition Commission / Appeal Court
Pretoria
cac@comptrib.co.za
leratom@comptrib.co.za
and, to make triple certain....
tebogom@comptrib.co.za
During the height of teir successes, horseracing stalwarts like Oppenheimers, Jaffees, Gallo, Beck, etc, never once interfered with the control and operation of the industry..... let alone own it.
Today, just 3 ultra-rich individuals (from the banking and corporate sector), have 'infiltrated' all the Provinces as major owners and in partnership with influential individuals. Not only that, they have served simultaneously on more than one board within the industry, and have 'inserted' their proxies.
Is this anything near a Keynesian model?
Horseracing is a multi-faceted industry.... a sport in one breath and business in the other.
Pertinent (and this was not disclosed to the CC) that the MOU into corporatisation stated '...the BUSINESS of horseracing...'
Where in any another jurisdiction in the world is there a handful that controls the entire industry?
As mentioned by a clansman, like Kerzner gambling in his own casino.
Or (lol!)....
Fergie (locally M/s Patrice Motsepe or Irvin Khoza) buying out the first 15 British soccer teams in the league (together with the stadia), appointing their own players / managers in each team, ref and linesmen for each match, deciding who enters or not, taking the gate fees, promoting their own companies as sponsors, excluding any other media / journos (radio/TV/newspaper) from reporting on the match.....!
And then claim Government sympathy as 'it's a sport!'
That horseracing enthusiasts (owners, trainers, jockeys, punters, breeders..) can sit back and even praise the 'Fergies' is a reflection of to what extent we have been conditioned into meek lambs!
Come the day there's a palace revolt!

To all the posters on this forum I don't think anyone disagrees Shaheen is one of the best. Once again the clowns that run this industry are just not able to look at what the public say or require in order to get a better product. I'm with Rob on this one Ken R needs to move back to Singapore or somewhere else. In my opinion he does nothing for Teelytrack at all and as I've said before it appears he enjoys lots of lunches and golf days and it would seem he probably never sits and watches an entire days broadcast to see what all of us see. Pity the resti of the guys don't support him and go on strike to back him up. Anything I can do to help count me in guys. Ken pack it in bud you make us tired.

You can't help believe that it is no coincidence that Tellytrasck is full if the old "Super Saturday " brigade ..........think about those old guests and you realise that Neil Andrews 's mates certainly prevail.................I wonder what the hold is?

and guess what. Yes you all have stuck up for Chainshaw but not one of you will be cancelling your debit order that pays for your tellytrack each month. If you that serious about the issue then stop watching and maybe then they at Tellytrack will get your message.

CnC teletrack is just one of many options on the bouquet and would have to divorce the wife if i stopped the Revenge series...but does highlight the fact that in every bouquet there is always a pr!ck

Give everything but up!
